When we design cargo nets for Sprinter, Transit, Promaster and other vehicles, we take each custom cargo net case by case. Basically you take measurements between your supposed anchor points and/or floor anchors and we will either design a new vertical cargo net for you, or we’ll find a cargo net that we’ve already produced for that vehicle. Cargo net designs are not necessarily assigned to any particular vehicle as some of the designs can be utilized in more than one vehicle type.
Though the prices for these nets have skyrocketed, it’s still well worth the cost given liability issues when driving a cargo van. Thanks to the new supply chain issues, raw material costs and freight costs, our prices for these custom passenger van cargo nets have gone from around $400 several years ago to over $1000 each.
Please keep in mind that these prices include engineering (a CAD drawing for you to keep), any correspondence regarding the design, any anchors that are needed for the customer (if they don’t supply their own anchors) and shipping.
Here are some of the questions we’ll ask you when calling regarding your custom van cargo net:
- Year, Make and Model of Vehicle
- Dimensions where you intend to mount
- If you are supplying your own anchors or if you’d like us to provide them for you
- What you are hauling and what is the weight/size
- Size of Webbing you’d prefer (1 or 2″) and mesh/hole size needed
- Color of Webbing/Thread or Stitching
- Your expected delivery date (current lead time is from 2 weeks – 2 months depending on our backlog
