Cargo Gate Releases New Designs & Models
It has been a while since our last update. We are now in the final stages of our re-tooling process and would like to present Loading Zone’s “Next Generation Cargo Gate”. We are currently finishing our pre-production prototype and plan to begin full production right after Labor Day. More information on sizing, pricing and availability will be forthcoming.
Now on to the fun stuff. We have been listening to our customers about ways to improve our product and to address known compatibility issues with some truck models and tonneau covers. To that end, we will be manufacturing just two sizes of gates: one for Full-Size Trucks and one for Mid-Size Trucks. Here is a list of some of the new features:
• We have switched to an all-aluminum design that will be stronger and lighter than ouroriginal cargo gate. All components will have an anodized finish for exceptional weatherresistance (main frame: clear anodized with all extension components; black anodized).
• Gates will ship fully assembled and require no additional mounting hardware.
• We are using a simple durable star knob with a stainless steel stud and an anti-vibrationwasher to keep all clamping locations fully secured. These clamping points are strongerand more compact.
• We have created an adjustable bottom extension that with the side extensions will allowfor more clamping location options. You will be able to clamp to the top rail as before.And now we have the ability to fit between the tonneau cover rails or to clamp to thetruck bed’s side wall below a tonneau cover.
• The feet are machined from a solid piece of aluminum this provides for a strongerconnection with the truck bed. This will allow the gate to retain heavier loads. We havealso added side to side adjustability to the feet so they are able to easily sit on top of the truck bed grooves or directly in the channels.
