Medium Roof Ford Transit Cargo Net

Medium Roof Ford Transit Cargo Net

The Medium Roof Ford Cargo Net with our part# CN-MEDROOFTRANSIT is another design that seems to work the best in the Transit.   This particular net uses floor anchors that most Transits already have in the floor and then anchors are installed inside the on the top.  We have other designs that use the sides of the vehicle as well (you mount the anchors and we design the cargo net around your anchors), but this seems to be the most popular design for the Medium Roof Transit.  This particular design seems to be the most popular, but below you’ll also see other designs for the Medium Roof Transit.

We literally have hundreds of different designs that work with the various types of passenger vans including the Sprinter, the Transit and the Caravan, among others.  Some of these nets will overlap vehicles, it all really depends on where you have your already installed anchors, where you want your anchors that you haven’t installed yet, and how your anchors are installed (in side panels or in bare metal).

We can tweak any drawing to your specifications for a medium roof ford transit cargo net, but there are always a few general rules that must be met when designing one of our cargo nets.  If you choose 1” webbing, which boasts 3K pound breaking strength and about 1K pound working load, the smallest mesh (hole size) we can achieve with our machines is about 4”.  If you go with the 2” webbing, which is 6K and 2K working load, it’s about 5.5” for the smallest mesh size.

The medium roof ford transit cargo net below is pretty much the same, except the overall height is only 61″ as opposed to 68″ and the bottom is varied as well with respect to the first drawing.

In addition, with either size webbing, we typically need at least 7-10” off the body of the net (on both sides if applicable) for any adjustable strap which includes the cam buckle or ratchet, the snap hook or other attachment hardware like an S-hook or wire hook and the webbing itself on the strap.  There will always be a bit of adjustment built into the cargo net in order to achieve a nice tight crank down, but be specific with your measurements so we don’t miss a beat.

If you choose to maximize your net body size, we can make either side stable with no adjustment and sew the snap hook right onto the body of the net, and in that case it will extend out approximately 3-5 inches depending on the size of the snap.  Some customers prefer this and don’t mind that the net is not centered.

Do you need a custom Ford Transit Cargo Net that you don’t see on our website?  Just give us a call or shoot us an email and we’ll start designing yours today.  Any design you work on with us will provide you with an original drawing at no extra cost done in CAD.
