CargoCatch visited the 1st Annual Electric Unicycle Games (EUC Games) in Los Angeles, California, at the Encino Velodrome over the weekend because we saw a new trend a comin’ and we covered it… What a site it was, and we are now addicted because it’s an easy sale and basically good for the future of all Americans…who can argue with that???

These electric unicycle wheels as they’re called come in different sizes, depending on your weight and skill and typcically go for around $2K, which is now a drop in the bucket for any basic full-time individual, and it just bears witness to the fact that if you want to be in good shape, yet still work within your means and location, hell, the cities aren’t getting any smaller and the traffic is only getting worse. Some guys at the show had not only helmets, elbow and knee pads, but some went as far as including full chest protection as well. Shoes should be flat on the bottom and reliable.
Vajra’s dad, Rama Douglas, from Carson City, California, is a pioneer in the art and sport, and one of my best friends, proud to say, and a hell of an athlete. Rama continues on his quest to better himself and his body as he rides through North Hollywood on his wheel.
The upward mobile move to the electric unicycle carries an evolutionary status and tactic of the future… one guy did a demonstration on how to pickup garbage in your area, while dialing in your core, now how’s that for killing two birds with one stone, eh? That gent was from Wisconsin I believe.

Riders came from all over including as far as Wisconsin, Oregon and New Zealand. My buddy Rama Douglas and his wife Zulema Douglas, along with their hostess daughter Vajra Douglas, organzied and put on the event. The EUC Games were sponsored by multiple industry businesses including Roll.nz from New Zealand ‘EUC Bodyguard’, Los Angeles EUC Games, E Wheels and KingSong Electric Unicycle among others.
These ‘wheels’ as they call them can go upwards of 45 mph and some have as much as an 80 miles or more of reach before needing a recharge. Stop sitting around on your ass watching the devil’s work (tv) and change the world with a new electric unicycle~!!!
